Thermal insulation of a terraced house
Insulating critical areas of a terraced house at the end of November. Yes, we managed to get that done just before the freezing weather set in. Of course we can insulate the interior even when it's -10 degrees outside, however here we also insulate the roof for the client using asphalt insulation strips.
Insulating the roof with a reflective insulating coating is the ideal choice if you don't want to drown the lord in the windows. In other words, if snow falls, there is no sign of it on your roof in a few days and your neighbours still have snow caps on their houses, it is clear that your roof is not insulating properly and you are losing expensive heat unnecessarily.
Another benefit of having an insulated roof like this is the reflection of the sun's rays in the summer months. Which means that your roof won't get hot throughout the summer, making it much easier for you to keep your attic at the optimum temperature for a comfortable home. If you combine this solution with air conditioning, you won't even know it's hot, and your energy bills for air conditioning will be reduced.
Next we come to insulating the cold walls connected to the house next door. No one has lived in the house next door for years, so there's no heating, the walls are drafty and the walls get cold. In addition to the standard areas, we also had to deal with a 9-metre-high wall on the staircase, which was no problem in the end and in a few days we had the house completely insulated.
