How we protect historic prefabricated houses from mould with Alpha INNER
Historic prefabricated houses have their charms, but also their challenges. One of these is inadequate insulation, which leads to thermal bridges, dampness in the walls, peeling paint and even mould. These were problems faced by the residents of one of the SVJ's apartment buildings, who approached us to help with a solution.
The problem: Thermal bridges and dampness in the walls
Thermal bridges in the house structure were allowing heat to escape and moisture to build up on the cooler parts of the walls. This not only led to high heating costs, but also to peeling paint and the risk of mould. Rebuilding the structure of the house would be costly and time consuming. That's why we proposed a quick and effective solution: the application of Alpha INNER reflective insulating paint.
Our solution: Application of Alpha INNER
Alpha INNER is a top Czech product with unique properties that allowed us to solve the problem:
- Internal insulation: prevents heat leakage in winter and overheating in summer.
- Reflective properties.
- Resistance and durability: the surface is washable, non-flammable and non-hazardous, with a long service life.
- Bacteriostatic effect: The coating prevents the growth of microorganisms, making it ideal for public and common areas.
Results
After application of Alpha INNER:
- Thermal bridges were eliminated.
- The walls are dry and protected from moisture and mould.
- Heating costs have been reduced and the rooms have a more comfortable climate.
The occupants appreciated that the solution was quick, efficient and did not disrupt the normal running of the building.
